The story

Percussion first.

Before the strategy and the recognition, there was rhythm.

True Hollywood—known professionally as Young Hollywood—is a Miami-based, multi-platinum producer, songwriter, and creative executive with more than two decades shaping music and culture across the global entertainment industry.

His path started in percussion, long before it led to the studio, and evolved into a career as one of the defining creative minds of the Latin Urban movement.

Rolling Stone identified him as a Latin trap pioneer and highlighted his production work on Trap Tumbado, Natanael Cano’s project connecting corridos tumbados with trap production. Young Hollywood helped build that sound alongside Cano and Ovi, including producing “Yo Vengo de Barrio”.

From “Te Busco” to Trap Tumbado and the new wave of Mexican music, the throughline has stayed the same: recognizing where culture is moving before it becomes obvious.

Recent credits include Snow Tha Product’s “Nah”; That Mexican OT’s “Opp or 2” plus composition and programming work on “Barrio”; and production on Fuerza Regida and Snoop Dogg’s “Me Acostumbre A Lo Bueno (Remix)”.

MIA is the next chapter: that same instinct applied to strategy, business modeling, and the technology reshaping independent music.
